We took the motorhome out for the day to Padre Island to get shot of the RV on the beach for a Good Sam Highways magazine article we wrote (and for our own fun filled day). I took the opportunity to let my cats experience the ocean, the waves and the beach. It may have been more than they bargained for.

After having seen Otto’s classic corvettes in his secret hide away, we asked him to bring a couple down to the RV park during the next pot luck supper so we could get some photographs of the corvettes on the beach. He brought three of them. We parked them on the beach, next to Nueces Bay in Corpus Christi and took some shots.

We spent the afternoon on the Wharf Cat catamaran boat in the Gulf of Mexico doing a Whooping Crane birding tour. We left from Rockport, headed toward the Whooping Crane winter nesting area and discovered so many other species of birds as well. It was an excellent day trip and would recommend the Whooping Crane tour in Rockport to anyone.
