Day 82 – Oysterfest in Fulton, Texas

Our entire stay in Texas, revolved around the Fulton Oysterfest. When Dar found out it was going to be held a week after we had scheduled to move on to New Orleans, we quickly changed our plans and added another week to our stay at Sea Breeze. Dar is crazy about seafood and loves her raw oysters, where Rob doesn’t really care for them. Funny enough, we got on local Corpus Christi television too after being filmed by the Caller Times. This is our experience of the Oysterfest in Fulton.

Day 79 – Taking the RV to the Beach

Rob wanted to allow his cats to experience the ocean, so we took the ferry to Port Aransas and then parked the RV on the beach. Part of the trip was to do a photo shoot for an RV magazine we had written an article for about first time RVing so we wanted the shots to be spectacular. Then we enjoyed a nice evening meal at Fishermans Wharf complete with sunset over the marina photos.

Cats On the Beach

We took the motorhome out for the day to Padre Island to get shot of the RV on the beach for a Good Sam Highways magazine article we wrote (and for our own fun filled day). I took the opportunity to let my cats experience the ocean, the waves and the beach. It may have been more than they bargained for.

Our Review of Sea Breeze RV – Portland, TX

We stayed at Seabreeze RV park in Portland Texas for five weeks. We loved it and will return each year. This is our review of Seabreeze along with a virtual walk around the park in photographs.

Day 75 – Nuevo Progreso, Mexico

We drove to for the day, crossing the border from Texas into Mexico and shopping all day long. We ate at a couple of places, one of which we liked very much, the other with friends from Seabreeze RV Park, and that was… well, “safe”. Our reasons for going to Mexico differed greatly from our fellow RV park residents. Was it because we are Canadian? or because we are younger and just travel differently?
