We drove to Nuevo Progreso Mexico for the day, crossing the border from Texas into Mexico and shopping all day long. We ate at a couple of places, one of which we liked very much, the other with friends from Seabreeze RV Park, and that was… well, “safe”. Our reasons for going to Mexico differed greatly from our fellow RV park residents. Was it because we are Canadian? or because we are younger and just travel differently?

Classic Corvettes On The Beach
After having seen Otto’s classic corvettes in his secret hide away, we asked him to bring a couple down to the RV park during the next pot luck supper so we could get some photographs of the corvettes on the beach. He brought three of them. We parked them on the beach, next to Nueces Bay in Corpus Christi and took some shots.
Whooping Crane Birding Tour in Rockport
We spent the afternoon on the Wharf Cat catamaran boat in the Gulf of Mexico doing a Whooping Crane birding tour. We left from Rockport, headed toward the Whooping Crane winter nesting area and discovered so many other species of birds as well. It was an excellent day trip and would recommend the Whooping Crane tour in Rockport to anyone.
